Guide
to Trellising Installation
and Maintenance |
 |
| USING
SYSTEM GRIPPLE, POST-HARVEST MAINTENANCE IS UP TO SIX
TIMES FASTER, ENABLING THE GROWER TO SPEND LESS TIME WORKING
WITH THE TRELLIS, AND MORE TIME WITH THE CROP. |

RANGE |
| Gripple
Wire Joiner/Tensioners are available in four sizes: Small
for stainless steel trellis wire, Medium is suitable for
the vast majority of trellising requirements, and Large
for mild steel barb wire and plain wire. Completing the
range, the Maxi Gripple Wire Joiner/Tensioner is designed
for high load, high tensile wire. |

| HOW
IT WORKS |
| Inside
the Gripple Wire Joiner/Tensioner, each wire moves in
one direction only, passing over high precision gear-tooth
rollers. The moment any load is applied in the opposite
direction, the rollers bit, locking the wires. |
 |
System
Gripple is the easy way to join and tension wire.
It can be used in the following ways: |
 |
In-Line
Join
Simply push a Gripple Wire Joiner on to one end
of the wire and push the end of the other roll of
wire through the second channel to create a secure
join. |
 |
Loop
Anchor
Smply push a Gripple Wire Joiner Tensioner on to
one end of the wire, feed the wire around the post,
pushing the end of the wire back through the second
channel of the Gripple Wire Joiner. |
 |
Repairs
Broken wires are easy to repair. Rather than replace
the wire from post to post, a new piece can easily
be inserted with two gripple Wire Joiners and a
piece of replacement wire. |
 |
Anchoring
End posts can be quickly and easily installed to
feed a length of wire around the post, through the
staple and securing at the ground anchor point with
a Gripple Wire Joiner. This method saves time, labour,
and can be re-tensioned using the Gripple Tensioning
Tool. Gripple can now offer the complete end post
anchoring kit - Anchor-Fast. |

Gripple
Releasable The
new Gripple Releasable has been designed specifically
to tension and release the tension on fruit bearing
wires in the viticulture sector.
The Gripple Releasable allows fruiting wires to be
tensioned; the tension can subsequently be released
in the trellis to allow the wires to be re-positioned
during the fruiting season and again after the harvest
to allow pruning to be carried out more easily.
To release the Gripple, the Release Tool is required.
Like the Gripple Tensioning
Tool, the Gripple Release Tool is easy and quick
to use.
It offers time saving in the tensioning of fruiting
wires and facilitates maintenance after the harvest.
By using Gripple Releasable the vine growers do not
need to lower the fruiting wires to the ground in
order to prune the vines - this limits the risk of
injury and does not cause damage to the wires.
